Android Oreo Go Arrives to First-Gen Android One Devices with LineageOS 15.1 Alpha

It has been over an year since my last post – the gap has been so signficant that I’ve lost the memory of how I used to make posts, such is the human memory. But it appears I’ve come to love my Android One device despite the time jump and how wouldn’t I ? We have been partners since 4 years! And we have done it yet again.

Proudly presenting! The first Alpha of LineageOS 15.1 for sprout! Comes with pure Android Oreo Go – optimized for low-RAM devices.

Just like the regular release traditions, let’s have a look at what’s broken and what’s not!

Working:

  • Boots (of course :P)
  • Wifi and Wifi Hotspot
  • Sensors
  • Bluetooth
  • RIL (Calls and Data) – But still buggy ATM
  • Audio and Video playback
  • Hardware Acceleration
  • Graphics
  • Torch
  • Lights and LEDs

Not working:

  • Camera
  • And as expected from an Alpha – things can look pretty unstable.

Flashing instruction:

Regular stuff!

Wipe –> Flash Zip –> Flash Gapps –> Done.

Right! So where do we go from here? Yay! Downloads.

Well, here you go:  DOWNLOADS
